X-TRANZ - The Communications suite for Linux/Unix users
Helps you get the best of both worlds
Your resilient application server platform linked to:
Windows based facilities
X-Tranz
allows your Unix applications to send and receive emails
via your normal email service e.g. MS Exchange, send Faxes and Print
formatted documents such as Invoices on network connected printers.
X-Tranz is a suite of, PC based, program options that act as a bridge to
your server systems.
For example you may wish to receive purchase orders via email
(perhaps as XML attachments) and wish to import these into your Unix
server based Sales Order Processing system.
X-Tranz - Grabmail intercepts relevant
emails, from your normal email service, and places the attachments on
the server where your own Sales Order import program can deal with them.
Or rather than print purchase orders and send them by post, you want
your Linux server based Purchase Order processing to send them directly via email
(perhaps in XML format).
X-Tranz - Automail receives the details
from your Purchase Order program and sends these via your normal email service.
Or some of your suppliers do not have email accounts so you want you want
your Linux server based Purchase Order processing to send these via fax.
X-Tranz - Faxing receives the details
from your Purchase Order program and sends these via a PC based Faxing system.
Or you want to save money on pre-printed Sales Invoice paperwork.
Invoice data is printed from your Unix server based system.
X-Tranz - Printing receives the details from your
Invoice printing program, compiles a document, with the data and a background invoice form,
and prints two copies of these on your networked laser printer.
Alternatively, instead of actually printing your own 'file copy', use the
Document Archiving
system to pack the invoice details onto your hard disc and allow subsequent enquiry/printing.
These are just a few examples of how X-Tranz can help integrate your server
and windows environments.
